Held on the weekend prior to the Australia Day holiday, this exhibition featured a few new layouts to the exhibition scene in Melbourne, the most notable being "Kilmore East" from Hamilton.

The SRHC ran a tour to Tocumwal NSW with locos B74 and S303. Shown here are a selection of photos taken between Shepparton and Tocumwal in both directions.

To celebrate the Centenary of rail reaching Alexandra the Alexandra Timber Tramway and Museum held a Gala event. All operating rollingstock participated in a parade followed by a commemorate train hauled by the Fowler steam locomotive. Show here are photos of the celebrations plus some of the former line between Alexandra and Yea.

This was the first Sunbury exhibition I have been to for about 3 years. Photos are mainly focused on the Sunbury club's new layout "Tallarook".

At around 10pm on Tuesday 20th October 2009 a fire started in the Maldon station. Over half the roof was destroyed along with the internals in the West end. These photos show the aftermath on Wednesday 21st October.

This trip ran via North Geelong with R707 and T413. Shown here are a couple of photos of the SRV driver training special with R761 at Ballarat, then of R707 at various locations between North Geelong and Ballarat in both directions.

SRV ran a special to Seymour headed by K190-K153, while the Seymour Railway Heritage Centre held an Open day as an added attraction to the day. Shown here are photos of the train at Heathcote Junction and Seymour plus photos of the Open Day.

This was the AMRA Vic. division's 2nd exhibition to be held at the Caulfield Racecourse. Once a again a great exhibition was put on by this club, shown here are photos I took on the Sunday.

This tour was to be operated with the group's flagship loco R707 and diesel T413, but 707 was unavailable. Steamrail's K153 substituted for the R. It was a great day out with some good speed from the K.

To celebrate the 125th anniversary of the Castlemaine to Maldon railway a mainline steam special ran from Southern Cross with R761 and R707 to Castlemaine then on to Bendigo. At Castlemaine it meet up with the VGR special to Maldon hauled by J541 and J515. Here are some photos of the Anniversary celebrations.

The Hobson's Bay Model Railway Club held it's 16th Annual exhibition at the Collingwood College. Included here are some of the items of interest from my first visit to this exhibition.

25th March saw 2 groups of school kids take a ride on the VGR, one being a group on bikes and the second partaking in a one-way journey from Castlemaine. It was decided to run the first trip of the day as a 6 car special with 16ZLP-30BCPL-43BPL-23AW-39AW-42BU-29BCPL hauled by K160 and J541.

On the labour day holiday I once again attended Sandown for the annual exhibition. Here are a selection of photos.

As part of Senior's week 2008 the VGR ran a special event allowing Seniors to travel aboard a historic steam hauled train on Wednesday 8th October. Due to popularity, the 2 trips necessitated a 7 car train and double headed steam. Shown here are the 2 specials hauled by K160 and J541.

Being the last day of the September-October school holidays I paid a visit to the ARHS Museum at North Williamstown. A few changes have occurred since I was last there 3 years ago. Enjoy the photos.

The VGR held it's 2nd "Steam on Show" event on Saturday 6th September. Included here are a number of shots of the special trains run during the day.

This was the first AMRA Victorian branch exhibition since 2006 due to the previous Box Hill venue costs rising. Back at a new slot in the year's exhibition calender and a new venue at the Caulfield Racecourse. Here are some pics I took on the Sunday.

In order to train new steam loco crews a number of special empty car movements are run each year. This run involved steam loco R707 and a consist of S and Z type cars running from Newport to Seymour. The day was going well until a minor derailment occured near the Seymour turntable, resulting in a revised shunting manouvre and the return to Newport being delayed by about 3 hours. None the less the crew did a very good job, achieving some 100km/h running in both directions.

The Sunshine MRC held it's annual exhibition at the Braybrook College. Here are a selection of photos from the day.

In conjuction with the Waverley Historical Society, Steamrail ran steam shuttles between Glen Waverley and Darling with an intermediate stop at Mount Waverley. Locos K153 and K190 were used.

I attended the Waverley Model Railway Club's 30th annual exhibition held at the Brandon Park Community Centre on the Sunday of the Queens Birthday weekend. I only took a small amount of photos, mainly of "Victoria Bridge".
